West Virginia Assistive Technology System

Assistive Technology and Education

Students have many different learning styles - some students are tactile learners, while others are auditory learners.  Assistive technology can help all learners maximize their educational experience.  Whether a student is struggling to read, or can not produce handwriting, an assistive technology device is available to accommodate their needs.

Leveling the playing field and allowing all learners the opportunity to succeed is an important goal at WVATS.  Whether it be a weighted pencil or software that allows a person to speak to a computer while it types for them, WVATS can help match students with assistive technology solutions.
