Applications for the iPad, iTouch, and iPhone

This list of applications is in no way a complete list of the options available in the iTunes store.  Everyday more applications become available for individuals with disabilities.  This list provides users with a starting point on their i-Device journey.

Communication Apps

  • ABA Flash Cards - In this set of 52 images, learn actions via text, photo, and real audio. (FREE)
  • ArtikPix - Currently for iPad only, ArtikPix has flashcard and matching activities with 560 cards for articulation practice. ($29.99)
  • DAF Assistant - Delayed auditory feedback and frequency shifting to help improve stuttering. ($12.99)
  • Expressionist - Cartoon drawings with 120 commonly used expressions in 7 categories and 1000+ nouns. ($9.99)
  • iCommunicate - Pre-loaded pictures and storyboards/routines (e.g., schedule) facilitate language comprehension. (iPhone - $39.99, iPad - $49.99)

  • Google Mobile - Access Google Apps and search using your voice, and use SafeSearch for content filtering. (FREE)
  • Grocery iQ - Build lists by scanning the barcode with your iPhone camera, or by using the predictive search feature. (FREE)
